Only stayed one night, for a 50th birthday treat-wish it could have been more.Excellent hotel in every way. We were upgraded to a lake view, upon arrival, at no extra cost. The staff were all lovely, helpful and attentive in every way and the food was also excellent. Hopefully we will be able to go back to Lodore Falls- the Tower and Penthouse suites look very tempting.
I'm pleased to say there was nothing to dislike about The LodoreFalls. The only concern was crossing the road to get to the car park- it was on a bend.
Room was a bit small as we had our son with us and the cot took up a lot of the space so wasn't much room for him to roam around. and couldnt get bar meals at 5pm which would have suited us so we could have ate when our son wanted to eat. 7 pm onwards which is when restaurant opened was to late for him.
Staff were friendly, the facilities at the hotel (Pool/spa sauna etc) were good to have at this location. Other Guests i spoke with were people who were regular Guests - so that's a good sign.
The Swimming pool tiles were very dirty on the edge of the water mark and did not appear to have been cleaned either very well or regularly. it was not clear from the reception of the sports centre where the changing rooms were - we spent some time looking for the Gents changing rooms - perhaps a small sign on the entrance door would be helpful
Everything was very nice, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Very efficiently run hotel.
The hotel was not what I expected it was even better. The location was stunning the hotel was very clean the staff was very friendly and helpful. We are planning a trip again this year and I have already recommended this hotel to several of my friends. To sum up my break it was brilliant great fantastic
The location and general facilities including the restaurant were of the highest standard. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. We will certainly return.
The exit from the hotel onto the road was almost blind to the driver or pedestrian.
very bad wi fi and no mobile phone signal
Non-intrusive but very efficient service - with a smile.
The Leisure facilities were very good and the Hot tub was excellant. The food was nice quality although was a little disapointed that they had ran out of scallops for the starter . The staff were excellant and gave very good service
The mattress needed replacing . It was most uncomfortable and led to a poor nights sleep.
The quality of the food was excellent and the fact that the reception rooms were fitted with comfy sofas and chairs made it a very relaxing atmosphere.
The copious amount of comfortable seating areas.
The expensive food and drink, especially the very poor cream tea.
I enjoyed the excellent range of facilities, especially the spa, and the excellent breakfasts.
The staff were reasonably unhappy most of the time and my friend's room had a strong dog smell and stain.
Beautiful situation. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff, especially in the dining room.
The friendliness of the staff, ambience of the hotel and scenic location.
The evening meal was overprised for the qualiy of the food served and the menu was of limited choice.
See below, though of course the hotel has a magnificent location.
Any positive feelings were negated by the fact that our room was cold and it proved impossible to warm it up (perhaps because the building is old with no cavity walls, and the room we occupied having two external walls). Perhaps other guests were affected since all the spare blankets were in use, and we had to make do with an extra duvet on each bed. (The original duvets provided for the beds were in fact very much summer weight duvets)
